For over 30 exciting years, Wen Saunders continues to photograph weddings, families, and events journalistically. With a BFA, Communication Arts & Design
degree from prestigious Virginia
Commonwealth University, she adds an artistic twist to the journalistic coverage.

She is known nationally for cutting edge concepts such as
the wedding ArtBox of images (individual images mounted on mats displayed in a leather box). She is also credited with bringing back black and white images
into the wedding coverage.
Wen is a true leader in wedding photojournalism and continues
to set creative standards for photographers throughout this area and the nation.

Black and white images are created from the best black and white films and printed by Wen Saunders on archival fiber papers presenting clients with museum quality photographs. Creative custom darkroom printing techniques bring emotion to the photograph. Today, custom b/w darkroom printing is becoming a lost art.   She is proud to carry on this creative process of traditional photographic image making.

All color photographs are presented in a book (4x5 size) and are included in the pricing structures. Why document the event with 500+ images and have the client only walk away with just a few. Our clients keep all of them!

Both medium and 35mm format film cameras and digital 35mm cameras are used during the event. Typically twelve cameras are juggled. Film cameras loaded with varying films and speeds (ISO 400-3200) and lens (15mm-300mm). We go beyond just making pretty pictures or candids and the trendy instant gratification of digital images!

Our geographic area of covers
includes the front range and western slope of Colorado. While most photographers charge a travel fee,
we do not. Our areas include Vail, Beaver Creek, Estes Park, the Boulder-Denver areas, Allenspark, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Telluride, Colorado Springs, Durango, and Pagosa Springs without a travel fee.

Wedding Photo Essay Film with Digital pricing structures start from $3,400 and include two books (Preview Book of 500+ photographs and another ArtBook of wedding photographs of 60-65 images), DVD and negatives (with film coverages. A free Get-to-know-you session is part of every pricing structure. Budget photojournalism pricing structures available from
$1,957 subject to location and availability. Budget Digital photojournalism pricing structures available from $1,400 subject to location and availability. Please contact the
