You'll work closely with Wen in the production of a wedding, from preview numbering and presentation to preparing order for the lab and final book production.

For film users, a variety of film options will be presented from color to black and white.  Pagosa Springs participants will have the opportunity to visit Wen's black and white darkroom. 

Digital camera users will experience digital camera options, image file software reading and editing sources, optimizing files, and archiving systems.

This Escape is designed for both professional photographers, aspiring photographers, or those who want to better understanding for photograph presentations and preservation.

Las Vegas Escape is set in Wen's condo located at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club (next to the Las Vegas Hilton) creating an exciting setting.  Participants can enjoy a complementary wine tasting the evening before the series.

Pagosa Springs Escape provides a special setting, as this is Wen's residence. Sessions take place at the Community Center, with the Pagosa Hot Springs just down the street. This series kicks off the evening prior to the first session with a deck happy hour at Wen's home, located in a relaxing mountain setting.

  Now what?
PRESENTING THE IMAGES

Explore previewing options for both black and white and color images.  You'll actually number a wedding or other event using a custom print numbering system, designed by Wen.  This system allows you to know what format, what film, and what cameras were used, simply by the number system label attached to the preview (allowing you to track sales or camera's performance!). Wen will share the best preview book options for film and digital images.  

Participants will also explore order form formats and contracts (camera-ready for your use). Level pricing and revising your price list is also discussed. Pricing negatives and previews  or client digital CD files and enhancements in the level discussions will be highlighted. BOOK DESIGNING
 & PRODUCTION


     Creating a Book That Lasts For Generations.
This session is designed to help participants development time management in the design and production of finished books.  Bring images for your sample book and design it with Wen's help!  Participants will use Montage  album design software to design their sample  book. This is a great opportunity to use Montage and ask questions about the album design software. Production short cuts, including black and white fiber paper production techniques and creative page designs will also be discussed. 

This is hands-on experience! Today's new digital albums will be discussed from online ordering to professional ordering. You'll learn creative and time saving tips for ordering!

SESSION:

THE PRINT ORDER

Customer Order Processing 
& Lab Ordering 
Procedures including 
Digital and Film Workflow.

 All Those Digital Files or Film Negatives.
This session is designed to help participants development time management skills in the studio processing of re-orders and the book print order.  We'll discuss order forms, negative masking, using the Montage software all prints list to check in prints, pulling negatives, creative negative masking (cut your custom print options), and preparing the lab order. Streamline your production time! We'll discuss CD and image resolutions for lab printing and client CDs.

Digital image RAW file reading and editing software will be
demonstrated- saving you hours of editing!
