As a photojournalist, I am TWO - the photographer artist trying to bring artistic creativity to the event, and the journalist, trying to bring honest understanding and integrity documented moment.

I have a deep feeling of responsibility to the weddings I photograph, as well as to the audience who will see the finished book. While my images are based on knowledge of photography, my photographs come from direct observation rather than preconceived ideas. This process is flexible, I let the ideas come from the subject itself. "When an ultimate image comes along, I just shoot it! If you have to think about the moment, you've just missed it!"

In images, two photographs, three photographs, four photographs, can say things that a single photograph or full page cannot. They can say what is not said. And the two photographs with their separate thoughts can cause quite another different thing to happen, out of the book or frame, in the mind of the beholder.

My darkroom allows ultimate interpretation of both the latent and photographic image. I have learned to build depth into my photographs though feeling more that through technique. I'm searching for that which is real of my hear, and which when completed I can stand to one side of and say, "This is it, the feeling is captured with my honest interpretation of the moment; and influenced only from the pressure of my soul." Controlling the "look" of the photograph in the darkroom completes the interpretation of the moment.

To make images communicate a thought you have to be pushing at boundaries. Pushing boundaries demands that those accepting my images push at their own boundaries, and learn a new language, and new worlds. It is the obligation of the photographer to control his or her work. The introduction of fish eye lens, black and white photography with custom printing on archival papers mounted in fine art library bound books, infrared black and white photography has created a passion for our images and given us the reputation of "cutting edge" among our clients, as well as industry and photographer peers.

When it comes to selecting a  photographer to capture moments of your event, one thing is certain - it will not be a simple task! A client summed up her photographer search as, "...the satisfaction comes from seeing lots of photographs and coming away with something different!"
